F Series Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryers
With to-day's high tech spray coatings, high precision machine tools and sophisticated manufacturing processes it is critical that industrial compressed air supplies are free of moisture. Correct filtration equipment will remove even microscopic solid contaminants but will not entirely eliminate moisture due to the fact that some of this moisture may be in the form of vapour. This can be eliminated by installing a Pneutech Refrigerated Air Dryer.
Pneutech refrigerated dryers remove water from compressed air by refrigeration and condensation. They are essential for all applications where water vapour in the compressed air supply is detrimental to the function of the equipment being operated.
The highly efficient refrigerant compressors in the Pneutech range of refrigerated dryers feature reduced energy consumption, low pressure drop even with load variances, constant pressure dew point with differing load conditions, minimum environmental impact and maximum component recyclability.
Pneutech refrigerated dryers achieve excellent performance even in instances of high ambient and high inlet temperatures. Their highly efficient and ultra-compact modular aluminium heat exchanger coils are able to operate effectively in ambient temperatures up to 45°C, inlet air temperatures up to 55°C and inlet air pressures up to 14barg.
Pneutech dryers are sized to match standard compressor outputs. e.g. a 15kW (20hp) air compressor with a nominal output of 2400L/min at 7barg matches the Pneutech RDF088 rated at 2500L/min. It is therefore unnecessary to select a larger dryer to match a particular compressor. The outputs of Pneutech dryers are tested and certified to operate within the limits shown on their technical data sheets.
The operation of Pneutech dryers is monitored by DMC15 electronic controllers which indicate the Dew Point on a digital display, control the condensate drain valve via a timer and control the condenser fan via a probe. From model RDF152 the fan is activated by a pressure switch. A hot gas by-pass valve allows the dryer to operate at part load preventing the evaporator from freezing. The aluminium coil module has a vertical flow layout ensuring the wet compressed air flows down towards the automatic condensate drain. The circulation of the refrigerant in the system is by high efficiency piston or rotary refrigerant compressors which, due to their innovative construction, have reduced energy consumption and high reliability levels.
All materials used in the construction of Pneutech refrigerated dryers have a high recycle factor in accordance with Pneutech environmental policy. Only environmentally friendly refrigerants are used. Components conform to 2002/95/CE “RoHS” (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and 2002/96/CE “WEEE” (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) European Directives.
